Bryen M Yunashko
Bryen M Yunashko, a national DeafBlind advocate from Chicago, was born Deaf. It wasn’t until he was 26 that Bryen discovered that he was actually blessed with Usher Syndrome. Now completely blind, he happily relies on tactile PTASL. Bryen has long advocated for many aspects of both the Deaf and DeafBlind communities, on everything from captioning to accessibility and social justice. With a strong focus today on DeafBlind social issues and advocacy, he travels extensively, providing training and workshops, particularly on vidism and community awareness. In addition to serving on numerous national and statewide legislative committees and task forces, Bryen owns Access256 Productions, LLC, providing consulting, presentations and workshops, advocacy and self-advocacy training, mentoring, and Braille printing services. His company is the exclusive North American distributor of the world’s only accessible videophone for DeafBlind consumers. He makes his home in Chicago.

nWise
nWise, the company behind myMMX db, was founded in 2008 with the vision to enable ‘communication for all’, by eliminating the gap in distance communication that the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing communities experience when interacting with society.
Our mission is to empower Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing individuals to communicate over distance on their own terms, through developing and providing technology, tools, and communication services for synchronous communication. We also see it as our mission to educate society and other parties about the opportunities and challenges for these communities, and how to deliver meaningful accessibility and equality.
